Elon Musk has put his weight behind a run of new Grok Bot features, though most of them reached users last week rather than this week.

On Tuesday 27 October, at 16:31 UK time, Mr Musk quote-posted a “What’s New in Grok Bot” video by Matt Palmer with the words “New features in Grok @Bot”. X’s public figures showed about 23.6 million impressions on his post by around 00:20 UK time on Wednesday. Tesla North describes Mr Palmer as a SpaceXSI staff member. The post’s chapter list names Pages, Vault, 1Password, Apple integrations and video creation, among others. We have not watched the video itself.

What shipped, and when

The official Grok Bot changelog, published by SpaceXSI, dates the main changes to last week:

  • 22 October (version 0.75.2): bots can build Pages, such as reports, memos and dashboards, “that you edit together or have the Bot keep up to date”. They can also create videos from a description or an image. The same entry says they can pay with Shop Pay and that X Money connects in one tap.
  • 23 October (version 0.75.5): bots can save logins, cards and contact details to a Vault in Settings and “fill them in to sign in or check out”.

Digital Trends reported on 22 October that Grok Bot can connect to the Calendar, Reminders, Contacts and Home apps on a phone, “rolling out now on both iOS and Android”. Each app has its own Allow button, so users choose what to share.

On 1Password, Engadget reported on 22 October that the company’s new “1Password for Agents” works with Grok Bot, so an agent can sign in to sites without receiving the user’s username, password or one-time codes. Access is granted per session and for approved items only. Engadget also gave a caution: agents could “make product ordering errors or book the wrong vacation”.

What it could save you

For a small business owner or a sole trader, the common thread is admin. A Page that the bot keeps up to date could hold a weekly sales summary or a supplier checklist. Vault and 1Password could handle routine sign-ins. Calendar and Reminders access could handle scheduling.

Whether any of that is worth it depends on how well it works in practice. We have not tested these features, and none of the sources promises a saving in time or money.

What we don’t know

We have not confirmed which subscription plans include the features, what they cost, or whether all of them are available in the UK. Posts on X about pricing and bundles are unverified, so we have not repeated them. Grok Bot’s calling feature, which Mr Musk announced on 25 October and which we examined in our related story, “Your AI can phone the plumber? What Grok Bot’s calling feature could mean for UK sole traders”, does not appear in the changelog’s latest entry (24 October).
